Wild at the Wilderness Voyageurs

Goal: Capture adventure and epic stupidity.

Over the summer of 2022 I travelled to Ohiopyle, PA to live in a rotting river house and take photos of rafting trips. Foolish as it may sound, the opportunity provided the experience of a lifetime. I was embedded in the river community where I got to capture daring stunts, everyday fun, and the role of an adventure outfitter in the tourist market.

Working at Wilderness Voyageurs

In my role at Wilderness Voyageurs, my primary responsibility was to obtain photographs of our river rafting trips. However, as the summer progressed, this role evolved and presented opportunities for event photography, product marketing, and more exciting photo shoots.

Rafting Shoots

Much of my job was to shoot and edit photos of our rafting guests. There were around 3-5 trips per day on 2 separate portions of the river. With this, I was able to capture some pretty awesome reactions.

Product & Service Shoots

Something I was able to begin toward the end of the summer was product shoots for affiliate brands, as well as service shoots for our various training courses.

Fun Stuff

Of course, outside of work there was plenty of cool photos to capture.
